About Everest University OnlineEverest University Online began its venture into online learning in the winter quarter of 1999 by offering five courses on two campuses. After our initial pilot phase, Everest expanded its online course offerings to include all nine Everest campuses for the winter quarter of 2000. At the same time, we received approval to develop online enrollment for any of the courses within the standardized Business Administration program. In the Fall of 2001, additional approval was granted to offer the Accounting and Criminal Justice programs online. Since the winter term of 2000, Everest has consistently added courses within these Associate's and Bachelor's degrees. Today all of the courses necessary to complete the degrees are available online, which now includes Master's programs. The courses are built and maintained on the eCollege platform, which is media intensive and has highly effective pedagogical and course authoring tools. All instructors are required to complete an intensive teacher-education course, which prepares them to teach and/or create a course following specific course construction guidelines.
